Backend Developer

You build the services and systems that keep our clients’ applications running. You make data and functionality reliably available, even as usage grows.

What you do
- You design and build backend applications, microservices and APIs
- You connect systems and data flows, from direct API connections to event-driven integrations
- You maintain the performance, security and scalability of services and databases
- You work with your DevOps team on design, testing, deployment and maintenance
- You use AI to write, test and check code, reviewing what you deliver yourself
What you bring
- You have at least three years of experience in backend development or similar work
- You know a backend technology such as Java, .NET, Python or Node.js well and understand software design principles and patterns
- You work with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB and can expose services through REST, GraphQL or gRPC
- You have experience with testing frameworks and writing unit, integration and end-to-end tests
- You have experience with AWS, Google Cloud or Azure and with serverless architecture and functions
- You collaborate well and are familiar with approaches such as Agile, Scrum, DevOps or CI/CD
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
Nice to have
- You have experience with Docker or Kubernetes and backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django or .NET Core
- You have worked with message brokers or event buses, such as RabbitMQ or Kafka
- You know authentication protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth2 or SAML2
- You know architectural styles such as microservices and event-driven architecture

- Work experience in the Netherlands
- English at B2 level and Dutch at A2 level
